Should the U.S.A basketball olympic team allowcollegeplayers to play?ncaa

HELL NO. OK LET ME EXPLAINE THIS. The 2 best players for collage last year in my opinion were Andrew Bogut and H. Warrick (i spelled that wrong probably) They both got drafted and they are ranked below the top 100. If ne1 remembers in collage warrick did these unhuman dunks over the defense, and bogut was just amazing. When u enter the NBA your opponents are unbelievably tall and skilled. Ussing some of the NBA's best players the US team had a hard time getting third place. If the best collage players in the US are ranked below the top 100 then there are 100 other players that deserve it more (to play at the olympics) You have to realize that collage bball players expect that the other team has 1 to 5 good players, they never expect that the whole team is that good. Also most of the NBA teams have players ranked below them and they still have a hard time going against them. If you put them against an olympic team thats like going against A team that has 15 players as good as shawn marion or Iverson or Billups or whoever you favorite player is. They never expect what is coming and are taken by suprise. If u did not understand that read it again cause it took me a long time to type this and I know Im right (if im wrong then give me 1 player that was ranked top 35 as a rookie)

The US basketball team should try to field the best possible team they can. Selecting aging NBA stars that are not able to run with young NBA stars from other countries does nothing but make the US basketball team lose games.
I would take Redick and Morrison (from Gonzaga) in a heartbeat to play on the U.S. team.
they already did. Plus they need more Experince.
The answer is if they are good enough and they would potentially add a dimension to the team or could fill a role. For example if the US needed a three point bomber Reddick would be a candidate for the slot.
Yes.Why should the pros get all the glory.
yes!but only the talented ones...

I'm 28 and im going back to college I didn't finish. Do you think I'm to old to walk

I'm thinking about walking on the basketball team at a JUCO I still can play a little, I'm not in shape but I would have the whole first year of 08, To workout and play. I'm I to old

Most of the PAC 10 teams would probably take you.
28 years and still in college? how many years did you repeat middle school? Wow amazing!

By the way, yes you are too old to play for college.

Did billy donovan senior play basketball for providence college in 1959?

i misread your question before. oops.

bill donovan sr. played for bostoncollegein 1959, not providence.

Which college player is most valueble to his team?

whichcollegebasketball player plays on a good team and carries the whole team on their shoulders?

Whichcollegeplayer is most valueble to his team?knicks

It has to be Kevin Durant. If this guy had an average supporting cast they would be a #1 seed and favored by many to win the title.

Whichcollegeplayer is most valueble to his team?sports ,nba teams

if your talking pure talent, then all the players above are excellent choices..but..without those players i feel those teams are all still very good. most important to his team in my opinion is randolh morris of ky..without his presence in the middle ky is absolutely horrible...also one of the most under rated players in the country. double and triple teamed night in and night out so his numbers dont jump out at you. ky barely made tourney this year...without morris..they dont make it... that pretty important to a team. also..if morris goes pro..you will see ky fall even farther off the ncaa map. prob wont make tourney next year without morris.
Kevin Durant is the best player in the NCAA
Definitely Durant. Texas isn't really very good, he just makes them look that way. I feel bad for him though, he's only a first half player. His scoring average goes down so much in the second half, he's practically useless when his legs give out from running all those 3's. If he played for a team that could give back just a little he'd be in way better shape. I won't lie, I'm really glad he's going to the NBA because if he gets much better atcollegeball, he's gonna tear everybody up, one-man team or not.
Drew Neitzel, PG, Michigan State

Ok... look at their team... their second best player is Goran Suton... who is that guy? he sucks, he didn't even average 10 ppg... yet Michigan State has gotten to the tournament as a 9 seed and beat Wisconsin AND Texas this year. Drew Neitzel carried this team on his back. He averaged 18 ppg and 4 apg, while shooting an amazing 41% from 3. Without Neitzel they would have missed the tournament, and even been on of the worst Big Ten teams. He has stepped up in big games with a number of times scoring more than 25 and 30 points in games.
you gotta go with one of the top players of the year, Durant or Oden. Sure their teams are good without them, but they are both dominant players whose numbers if missed would cause their teams not to have a chance at contending in the dance. If texas gets to the final four or does better than OSU (I have OSU going all the way), then I'd say Durant is the one.
Greg Oden Ohio State
Without a doubt, Kevin Durant of Texas.
I got to say Kevin Durant from Texas.
Mario Chalmers of Kansas... Wait no.... Kevin Durant of Texas....
Definately Kevin Durant from Texas. The guy is amazing, and will probably hands down win the Player of the year award, and only as a freshman.

If youve never seen him play, you dont know what ur missing. Check out some of his stats

Should I play basketball next year?

I played in 3rd grade throughout 8th grade and then didnt play in ninth or tenth grade... i love basketball and miss playing.. im planning on training all summer and hoping making varsity next year.. I would hope to continue basketball in college.. will me not playing for two years prevent this? I'm 5'3" 110 lbs.. female.. I understand I am undersized.. but I'm not going to let that stop me. Also, should I try to find an AAU team to play for over the summer or should I just train on my own?

Should I play basketball next year?nba all star

I absolutely love basketball it's been my life. Im a senior now and just finished an awesome season winning the district chamionship. One thing that i regret is never playing other sports that i played as a kid (baseball, football etc.). What I am trying to say is that you should absolutely go out next year and try out for the aau team or you will regret it. If for someone reason you do get cut from either team, use that as motivation. Get back at them next year. If you work very hard good things will happen.

Should I play basketball next year?tickets ,nba teams

You should NEVER give up basketball.
It is hard to grab the attention of coaches when you havent played and if skill ability isnt up to par, then your chances of playing varsity andcollegeball are slim. I suggest you continue working out and possibly playing in summer leagues to help you gain some skill. IF you dont make varsity, then dont take that as you failing, but continue on with it and have fun.
Sure why not basketball is a fun sport and should be enjoyed by anyone tall or short big or small. Think about playing again cause you don't know what your missin
your size doesn't matter cuz i am 5'3 n i also weigh 110 pounds. n next year i will be a freshmen. but whenever i was an 8th grader i was bumed up to the varsity team. training all summer would be a best thing to do because u need to stay in shape if u want to make it for varsity. well my question to u is howcome u stopped playing basketball in the first place?? it's proabaly none of my business. so u should play basketball next year cuz it keeps u in fight and in nice shape. it's really up to u cuz u also gotta keep up with ur grades n maintain at least a 3.0 average.
If you are serious about playing in college, whether it is big or small, you need to join an AAU team this summer. Just being on the team is not good enough, you have to be a start or at least first off the bench. The difference between high school ball andcollegeis mind blowing. I tried out for NC State and could have walked on at a smaller school. You have to train like you really want it. Your size has nothing to do with your ability. Look at Spud Webb, he was about your size and he is an NBA All-Star. You need all the exposure you can get and by playing AAU you will get the exposure you need, but only if you are on the court. Good luck.
yeah, why not?
Yes
it really doesn't matter if you are undersized or not what matters is if you have the will to tough it out , offseason, on season, it dont matter. i played for a couple of years, didnt play for the next year, still made the team because i had the will. not many kids these days have the will but that is what high school coachs look for, not tallent, not size, the will. Now thecollegecoaches look for talent and if you have the will to play your coach will work with you. P.S.( Good Luck)
Yes.
Why not? You love to play it, so just do it. Just because your undersized doesn't mean you can't play. There are plenty of NBA and WNBA players that are not tall. Pursue your dreams.
Yes.

You have a lifetime love and you should pursue it. While there is a possibility that you might not make it pro, you play - first and foremost because you love the game and enjoy it. Never compromise your dreams.

There are a million little ways to work on improvement and sharpening your skills. Start working on them now. But also, try to find some ways to challenge your skills so you grow from where you are now.

Look for camps like the Coach Wootten camp. The best way to improve is to find someone who is an expert that can critique your weaknesses and give you areas to improve and round out your game. How about asking any former coaches to meet with you for a while?

Do you have any friends who are now playingcollegeball? Followup with them and find out how they transitioned tocollegeball. You need to be aggressive in your pursuit of info just as you must be aggressive on the court.

Play, absolutely, PLAY!!!

Good Luck!
PLAY PLAY PLAY!!! They can measure your height and weight but they can NEVER MEASURE YOUR HEART AND DETERMINATION TO WIN!!!! PLAY PLAYPLAY!!!
Always do what you feel is right, you should def play basketball. If you don't try you'll regret it the rest of your life.
ye! :)
I don't know the size of your school but if you really want to try out, go ahead. If anything, you probably may make the jv team but practice, practice, practice.
Of course you should try out for the team...it IS something you say you love. I mean the absolute worst thing that could happen is what...you don't make the team. However, if you don't try out, you DEFINITELY won't make the team and you will be mad at yourself for not, at least, trying.
yeah

go for it!!!

that's a great sport and if u love to play basketball then u should pursue that dream. :)
try out...work hard!
